Musical and artistic director of Iberian Sinfonietta and the Provincial Youth Orchestra of Málaga , he began his career as an orchestra conductor at the age of 17, subsequently obtaining awards and mentions such as First Prize in the First International Orchestra Conducting Competition for Young Conductors organized by the “Dinu Lipatti” Lyceum of Music in Bucharest (1998), First Prize in the Second International Competition for Young Orchestral Conductors organized by the “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra in Craïova (2000), Special Mention in the 47th Edition of the Besançon International Competition (2001) for his high preparation and technical virtuosity in conducting, with the president of the jury being maestro Sergiu Comisiona, Special Mention at the First Festival of Young European Orchestras City of Melilla (2001), as well as the Prize “Of the Orchestra” Special at the Second Kisiniev International Orchestral Conducting Competition (2011).
After almost 30 years of experience as a conductor, it is worth highlighting his continued dedication to the training of young musicians within diverse instrumental programs, as well as his collaboration with groups of the stature of the Madrid Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Youth Orchestra of Galicia, Provincial Youth Orchestra of Malaga, Tenerife Youth Philharmonic Orchestra "Miguel Jaubert", Youth Symphony Orchestra "City of Salamanca" or the National Youth Orchestra of Spain. In the professional field, he has directed orchestral formations at a national and international level, highlighting among them the “Moldova” State Philharmonic Orchestra of Iasi (Romania), the “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra of Craïova (Romania), the Orchestra of State of Vidin (Bulgaria), the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic “Serghei Lunchevici” of Kisiniev (Republic of Moldova), the Symphony Orchestra of the Federal University of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), the Academic Camerata of Freiburg ( Germany), the Berliner Kammerphilharmonie (Germany), the Córdoba Orchestra, the Malaga Symphony Orchestra, the Murcia Region Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra, of which he has been musical and artistic director from 2014 to 2019 .
During his years of training he studied with various teachers throughout Europe, including Octav Calleya in Malaga (Superior Conservatory of Music), Joerg Bierhance in Freiburg (Camerata Freiburg), Salvador Mas Conde in Vienna (Wiener Meisterkurse Für Musik), Jesús López Cobos in Alcalá de Henares (Musical Specialization Courses), Jorma Panula in Berlin (Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler”), Lutz Köhler in Seville (Academy of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain), Bruno Aprea in León (Master Classes for Conductors of the Eutherpe Foundation Orchestra), Gianluigi Gelmetti in Siena (Accademia Chigiana) or Colin Metters in Zagreb (Lovro & Lilly Matacic Foundation).
In his role as a solidarity artist involved in social projects to help charitable organizations, we can highlight his participation in the concerts organized at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid by the Rotary Club Madrid-Serrano since 2012 with the aim of raising funds for various charitable projects, collaborating with soloists of the stature of Ara Malikian or the Trío Arbós.
It is also worth mentioning his constant collaboration in fusion projects in order to bring the resources, characteristics and sound of the symphonic world to a wide and diverse audience. Of these projects, we can highlight the "Tribute Concert to Rafael Alberti" performed together with the flamenco guitarist Vicente Amigo, "Horizontes" together with the pianist David Dorantes and "Mercé Sinfónico" together with the singer José Mercé, being also the author of the arrangements in this project. symphonic.
Since 2006 he has combined his artistic activity with teaching, being Professor of Orchestral Conducting at the Málaga Higher Conservatory of Music.
