SEVILLE HOSTS THE SYMPHONY MERCE IN LA CARTUJA
Next Saturday, May 26 at 8:00 p.m. the show Mercé Sinfónico visits the city of La Giralda, being the Cartuja Center CITE theater the one chosen for the occasion.
The orchestra director Juan Paulo Gómez , at the head of the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra , will support the singer José Mercé and his flamenco cast in an audiovisual show that can be considered a debut of the Jerez singer's repertoire with some adaptations, arranged and taken to the classical field by the singer himself. In addition, the show's repertoire will be implemented by three instrumental works by the composer Cristóbal López Gándara created expressly for production. Symphonic Mercé , produced by Partiture Musical Productions and its executive director Jesús Paulano Hernández , returns to place Jose Merce at the forefront of cante jondo and the great contemporary Andalusian popular song.
Having been a resounding success in its official presentation on November 6 and 7, 2017 at the Teatro de la Luz Philips Gran Vía in Madrid, hanging the “NO TICKETS” sign several weeks before the concert, the show has already visited theaters and auditoriums in towns such as Los Alcázares (Murcia), Pozoblanco (Córdoba) and El Ejido (Almería), doing so in the coming months and until the end of the year in others such as Fuengirola (Málaga), Cabra (Córdoba), Murcia and Salamanca.
