WORKS BY MUSSORGSKY AND RÓZSA CLOSE THE SEASON OF THE MÁLAGA CSM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA


The next Friday May 31 will take place at 8:00 p.m. in the Falla Room Málaga Higher Conservatory of Music the third concert of the season that the symphony orchestra of this Malaga musical and educational institution has been developing during the 2018-2019 academic year, being the oldest center of higher music studies in Andalusia.

On this occasion, the repertoire will be configured by the Concerto for viola and orchestra Op. 37 by the Hungarian composer Miklós Rózsa and the Pictures from an exhibition of the Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky in Maurice Ravel's orchestration of the original piano work. The soloist in charge of interpreting the work for viola will be the young David Campos Guzman , recent winner of the 2019 edition of the competition for soloists that the conservatory organizes annually, under the direction of Juan Paulo Gómez , professor of the Chair of Orchestral Conducting and Head of the Department of Composition and Conducting of the center.

Admission to the concert is free until capacity is reached.
