WORKS BY MOZART, JANÁCEK AND SHOSTAKOVICH WILL VIBRATE BETWEEN THE WALLS OF THE PEACE PALACE
Next Saturday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m., the second of the concerts in the Community Concerts cycle that Iberian Sinfonietta has been performing for two seasons in this Malaga town on the Costa del Sol will take place at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola.
With the title "Young Spanish Performers" , this concert wants to give relevance to the participation in it of the winner of the 2020 edition of the Intercentros Melómano contest in the Higher Grade category, the young pianist of Bulgarian origin Roberto Rúmenov Iliev , who finished his musical studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. This participation is the result of the collaboration agreement between Iberian Sinfonietta and Intercentros Melómano with the aim of promoting artistic opportunities for talented young performers in our country at the beginning of their careers. The Intercentros Melómano is an initiative of the Orfeo Foundation that has been developing since 2002 with the aim of promoting the active participation of students from conservatories and authorized music centers in professional competitions.
The concert program will be configured by the Divertimento in F Major, KV. 138 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , the Suite for String Orchestra by Leos Janácek and the Concerto No. 1 for Piano, Trumpet and String Orchestra in C minor, Op. 35 by Dimitri Shostakovich . In this last work, in addition to the intervention of the pianist Roberto Rúmenov Iliev , one of the most relevant trumpeters on the current musical scene will participate, the Malaga-born Alejandro Gómez Hurtado , who will play the brilliant and humorous passages that dialogue with the piano speech throughout this virtuoso work by Shostakovich, which will not leave the audience attending this concert indifferent. The concert will be directed by Juan Paulo Gómez , chief conductor of the orchestra and founder of this philanthropic musical project.
As in the previous concerts and representative seal of the cycle, the program will be presented and commented by Jorge Rodríguez Morata , coordinator of the orchestra's pedagogical content, who will also interview the protagonists of the evening, letting us know more about their musical and artistic side.
