JAÉN, 15 (EUROPA PRESS)

Linares (Jaén) will host a concert on April 30 by Ara Malikian, one of the best violinists on the current national scene, together with the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra, an “emerging Andalusian orchestra” based in Jaén.

It will be at 8:00 p.m. at the Cervantes Theater and within the framework of the XIX International Festival of Music and Performing Arts Ciudad de Linares and will mark the second collaboration between performer and orchestra after the one they already performed with “great success” in the capital in October 2014, as highlighted to Europa Press by the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra.

Once again, it will be directed by Juan Paulo Gómez, musical and artistic director of the group, who has already worked on previous occasions with the violinist of Armenian origin performing the concertos for violin and orchestra by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

In addition to Ara Malikian, the concert planned in Linares will feature the participation of soprano Marta Estal Vera, who recently won First Prize in the Intercentros Melómano Competition (2016); the tenor Jesús Paulano and the baritone David Gascón.

The first part of the program will be made up of arias representative of the operatic repertoire of the composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gaetano Donizetti and Giuseppe Verdi, among which stand out 'Vedro mentr'io sosprio' ('The Marriage of Figaro'), 'A tear furtiva' ('The elixir of love'), 'Regnava nel silenzio' ('Lucia di Lammemoor') or 'La donna e mobile' ('Rigoletto)'. Also worth noting are the musical interludes 'Meditation' ('Thaïs'), by composer Jules Massenet and 'Intermezzo' ('Russian Cavalry'), by Pietro Mascagni.

The second part will introduce the public to the symphonic world "with one of the most wonderful and complex concerts in romantic musical literature, a workhorse of the great violinists of history": the 'Concert for violin and orchestra in D Major, Op77 by Johannes Brahms. Malikian will be in charge of interpreting it on this occasion accompanied by the teachers of the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra.

This formation is a musical initiative launched in 2014 by Partiture Producciones Musicales with a new musical management model carried out by the singer, producer and businessman Jesús Paulano Hernández, who is also the manager of the orchestra. Its main objective is to disseminate the symphonic-choral musical heritage and that which may be derived from the fusion with other cultural heritage throughout the national territory, "paying special attention to the musical development of the province of Jaén."
