THE NEW APPOINTMENT WITH IBERIAN SINFONIETTA WILL INCLUDE A COMPLETE PREMIERE WORK

Next Saturday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. , as is traditional in the classical music programming that takes place at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola , the fourth of the concerts in the Community Concerts cycle that Iberian Sinfonietta is coming to will take place. taking place in this town on the Costa del Sol for two seasons in collaboration with the Fuengirola City Council .

On this occasion and under the title "Four Styles" , its musical and artistic director Juan Paulo Gómez proposes an amalgamation of four works belonging to very different periods, styles and aesthetics with the intention of creating in the viewer an attention to languages ​​and messages. that have nothing to do with each other but whose combination gives a special appeal to the program.

The concert, presented and commented as always by our pedagogical content coordinator, Jorge Rodríguez Morata , will begin with the Symphony for Strings No. 10 in B minor, MWV No. 10 by the German composer Felix Mendelssohn . Next, a work of absolute premiere will take us to a current language totally contrasting with the previous one, it is the Divertimento for string orchestra of the young composer from Malaga Alejandro de la Torre Hernández . The humor, transferred to the musical manifestation, will continue the concert program with a nice, creative and elaborate work in a very witty way: the "Happy Birthday" Variations by the also German composer and violinist Peter Heidrich . Finally, the concert will close with a reference point in musical literature, and specifically, that related to writing for string orchestra: the Serenade for Strings, Op. 48 by the Russian composer Piort Illich Tchaikovsky .

The concert, as is traditional and based on the philanthropic criteria of Iberian Sinfonietta , is free until capacity is reached.
