THE COMMUNITY CONCERTS ARE INAUGURATED 21-22 WITH THE TRUMPET AS THE PROTAGONIST

Next Saturday, September 18 at 8:00 p.m., the first of the five concerts that will make up the COMMUNITY CONCERTS 21-22 will begin, which will take place at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola (Málaga).

With the title "Iberian Sinfonietta Special Prize" , this concert aims to highlight the collaboration agreement between the orchestra and the "Ciudad de Estepona" Young Performers Competition , through which, since its second edition, a special prize is created that grants the best Andalusian performer of the final phase of the competition a concert as a soloist during the following season of the orchestra. On this occasion, the young trumpeter Amalia Escobar García , a native of the town of Campillos (Málaga) who at only 12 years old won this award last year from her musical and artistic director Juan Paulo Gómez , will be the protagonist of this evening. .

The works that he will perform in the concert program are two of the most recognized and performed in the literature conceived for this brass instrument: the Concerto in Eb for trumpet and string orchestra by Johann Baptist Georg Neruda and the Concert Piece No. 2 in Eb major by Vassily Brandt, on this occasion, in an adaptation made by Juan Paulo Gómez for trumpet and string orchestra. The program will be completed with Five Variants of "Dives and Lazarus" by Ralph Vaughan Williams and the famous Serenade for Strings, Op. 22 by Antonin Dvorak.
