Finding ourselves already at the halfway point of Advent time, next December 15 at 7:30 p.m. the Malaga Provincial Youth Orchestra , conducted once again by Juan Paulo Gómez , musical and artistic director of the group, will delight us with a totally Christmas program between the columns of the Cathedral of the Incarnation of Malaga . The concert, which is organized by the Málaga Foundation , will also include the Santa María de la Victoria Choir , of which José Eugenio Vicente Téllez is director, and the Málaga soprano María del Carmen Vicente Téllez . The program will be made up of purely religious works that will alternate with others where the most traditional and representative Christmas songs of traditional Christian culture will be highlighted, skillfully instrumented and elaborated as symphonic-choral suites.

The evening will begin with two motets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . Firstly, the traditional Ave Verum Corpus, KV 618, will be performed, continuing with the delicious " Laudate Dominum" , belonging to the Solemn Vespers for a Confessor, KV 339. Next, the first and second suites of The Many Moods of Christmas will make us enjoy those songs that cannot be missed on these dates, Christmas songs that were selected and arranged for choir and orchestra by the famous Broadway orchestrator, the American Robert Russell Bennett , and premiered by the director, also American, Robert Lawson Shaw in 1963. Finally, and as it could not be otherwise, the "Hallelujah" from The Messiah, HWV 56​ by Georg Friedrich Händel It will make us vibrate within the walls of the temple and will remind us of the majesty of this famous choir that announces the greatness and importance of this period for the Christian community.

Admission, as in all concerts organized by the Malaga Provincial Council , will be free until capacity is reached.
