Juan Paulo Gómez will be part of the jury in charge of choosing the winner of the second edition of the “Emilio Lehmberg” Composition Competition for Symphony Orchestra organized by the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music. This is one of the many initiatives that this institution carries out to promote the musical training of young composers within the academic field, offering the possibility of the premiere of the work during the season of the center's symphony orchestra.

For the orchestra director Juan Paulo Gómez, Head of the Department of Composition and Orchestral Conducting of the conservatory, the department in charge of coordinating the competition, this is an extremely important initiative to motivate the creative capacity of the center's composition students by offering the winner the opportunity to premiere a symphonic work, not an easy thing in today's musical reality. Initiatives like this are fundamental not only for the training of future Spanish composers but also for enhancing current musical heritage through the creation and interpretation of new symphonic literatures.
