IBERIAN SINFONIETTA CONTINUES ITS COMMUNITY CONCERTS WITH SPANISH MUSIC
Next Saturday, November 14 , at 12:00 p.m. , the second of the concerts in the Community Concerts cycle that Iberian Sinfonietta has been performing bimonthly in this town on the Costa del Sol will take place at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola .
On this occasion, the concert program will be dedicated to Spanish music which, under the title Ibérica , will tour different territories of the peninsula showing those details, customs, traditions and feelings of the different cultures of our country.
The program will focus on two of the most representative composers of the so-called "Spanish musical Nationalism" of the late 19th and early 20th centuries: Isaac Albéniz and Enrique Granados . From the first, the famous pages of Asturias, Mallorca, Córdoba, Cádiz and Seville will be interpreted; of the second, the Intermedio de Goyescas and its famous Andalusian dance. Of all these works, Juan Paulo Gómez , musical and artistic director of the orchestra, proposes listening to them through a series of transcriptions made for the string orchestra instrumental template.
As is traditional in the format that Iberian Sinfonietta proposes in its Community Concerts , the program will be presented and commented by Jorge Rodríguez Morata , coordinator of the orchestra's pedagogical content.
Admission to the concert is free until capacity is reached (maximum 200 people). However, due to the regulations established on prevention and safety due to COVID-19, to attend the concert it will be necessary to previously download a form from the municipal website that must be filled out and submitted before entering the venue.
