The XX Jaén Autumn Festival starts this Friday with a full house at the Nuevo Teatro Infanta Leonor after selling out of invitations for its inaugural concert by Partiture Philarmonica Orchestra. This is a performance that will feature the presence of the baritone from Jaén who will act as soloist Damián del Castillo. The direction will be carried out by the musical and artistic director Juan Paulo Gómez, who has almost 30 years of experience, and whose continuous dedication to the training of young musicians should be highlighted. The concert program is dedicated to two of the composers of the period romantic ones that contributed most to the development of the symphonic style since Beethoven. Specifically, the orchestra, composed mostly of musicians from Jaén, will perform a cycle of four original songs for piano and voice (Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen), which will culminate with the Fantastic Symphony Op. 14, one of the most relevant symphonic works of the Romanticism composed by Hector Berlioz and premiered in Paris in 1830. The Councilor for Culture, José Manuel Higueras, has valued the fact that this inaugural concert is sponsored by the 'la Caixa' Foundation, and has pointed out that thanks to its social work “it "They have allocated invitations to an audience with difficult access to culture that has been selected through the technical advice of the Department of Social Affairs." In fact, part of the invitations have been addressed to families in need from the five municipal social services centers so that they have the opportunity to enjoy this inaugural concert of the Autumn Festival. As a novelty for this edition, which will run until November 30, an Urban Culture cycle has been scheduled for September 28 at the Alameda Auditorium and is especially aimed at young audiences.
