EDITORIAL.- The show “Horizontes”, which combines the voice of Dorantes and the mastery of the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra, captivated the audience of the Teatro Principal de Andújar at its premiere with an innovative musical and scenic proposal based on the fusion of styles. For an hour and a half, “Horizontes” offered a mix of flamenco, jazz and traditional music accompanied by a classical symphonic show and a unique audiovisual and lighting staging.

“The balance of the premiere is very positive,” explains the orchestra's director, Juan Paulo Gómez. “We managed to perfectly fuse the style of the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra with the timbre of a flamenco artist like Dorantes and the result was a union of flamenco and jazz synchronized with the symphonic apparatus, something with a lot of merit as two styles are usually subject to improvisation. ”explains Juan Paulo.

For his part, for Dorantes it was “a very enriching experience.” In that sense, the artist points out that it was possible to convey our musical and scenic idea to the audience with a different and vibrant touch, thanks to the musical arrangements and the good work of everyone.

This first staging of “Horizontes” is part of a new project by Partiture Producciones Musicales whose objective is to continue with its line of musical fusion in which flamenco, classical music and new music go hand in hand in perfect harmony through a surprising evolution, an opening in stylistic terms that radically expands the panorama of contemporary music. The show will soon begin a great national tour that will have stops in the main Spanish cities, such as Seville, Madrid or San Sebastián.
