"BETWEEN ROMANCES AND BOLEROS", A LYRICAL BET THAT COMBINES TWO ROMANTIC GENRES PAR EXCELLENCE

Iberian Sinfonietta continues with the third of the concerts in the Community Concerts cycle, which will take place next Saturday January 23 , at 12:00 hours , in the Fuengirola Peace Palace .

Under the title Between romances and boleros , its musical and artistic director Juan Paulo Gómez makes a lyrical proposal with a selection of the most beautiful romances belonging to the most famous zarzuelas that make up the Spanish musical heritage related to this genre. Throughout the program, these romances will evolve towards another musical genre, romantic par excellence, of Cuban origin and imported to our country due to our close relationship with this Spanish-speaking country, such as the Bolero.

The configuration of the program alternates works designed for soprano and baritone, performed individually and in duo, with instrumental interludes that separate the different musical blocks. Composers of the stature of Sorozábal, Barbieri, Moreno Torroba, Serrano, Luna, Chapí, Soutullo and Vert have been chosen on this occasion to configure two of the three blocks in which the concert program is structured. The last block will be made up of a selection of the most popular boleros of this genre, the chosen composers being Alfredo Gil (Los panchos) and Osvaldo Farrés, whose songs have been performed by the most representative groups and soloists of the genre.
